Marianna and Alekos chose Amorgos to say “I do,” and everything unfolded with that rare balance between emotion and ease that only a Cycladic summer can offer. The island seemed to take part in their celebration: white alleys, courtyards with jasmine, blue shutters and air that smells of salt, as if it set the rhythm for every moment, from the preparations to the first look before the ceremony.

Their style remained authentically traditional, with details that showed how personally they had thought through their day. The bride got ready in a bright, Cycladic house, with the wedding dress hanging opposite the sun that broke into shadows on the white wall, while the pearl accessories tied in sweetly with the subtle glow of summer. The groom moved in earthy tones, with elegant brown shoes, a watch and cufflinks, and a suit in a soft green-gray that matched the landscape perfectly. Among the most tender snapshots, the traditional shave with friends and relatives brought laughter and a familiar warmth before the church.

The church, with its characteristic white and the blue of the dome in the background, became the perfect setting for a ceremony filled with light. The colors of the bouquet—warm orange and yellow like an afternoon sun—were combined with plenty of greenery and small white flowers, giving an effortless, island freshness without exaggeration. And when the doors opened and the two of them stepped out, Marianna’s smile and Alekos’s emotion made the exit feel more like a spontaneous hug than a “posed” moment.

The celebration continued in a summer courtyard under rows of warm string lights, with loved ones close, tables full of conversation and dancing that lasted as long as the night could hold.
