A few words about the wedding
Timon and Marise chose Athens to celebrate their summer wedding, with preparations in the city center and a view of Lycabettus. Marise wore a romantic wedding dress with three-dimensional flowers and sheer gloves, carrying a bouquet of white roses, while her friends appeared in pastel hues that brought a light, summery palette. Timon went classic with a black tuxedo and bow tie, with small details such as monograms on his cuffs that added a personal touch. Their style was traditional yet contemporary, exactly as suits a wedding in Athens.

The ceremony was held at Saint Paul in the city center, in the midday light that filled the church. The crowning moment, with the golden motifs and ceremonial capes, underscored the discreet grandeur of a traditional wedding, while the couple’s exit under a shower of rice and paper butterflies flooded the steps with smiles. The simplicity of the white flowers and the elegant dresses of the bridal party composed a clean, timeless setting for those who dream of a wedding in Athens with classic aesthetics.

For the reception, the two of them headed down to the Athenian Riviera, to a terrace literally over the water. Long, snow-white tables with an airy runner, glass cylinders with candles, and floral arrangements in white, champagne, and soft peach–mocha notes blended with the golden hour of dusk. The sea breeze gently swayed the bride’s veil, the lights came on, and the party started with an effortless, summery rhythm – a decor idea ideal for a seaside reception in Athens.

As the sun was setting, their walks on the sand gave the most tender portraits, with the light gliding over the lace dress and the waves becoming a backdrop. The team of Photographer Greece by Phosart captured this blend of city and sea in a natural and radiant way, leaving a story that smells of salt and summer. If you are planning a wedding on the Athenian Riviera, here you will find ideas for an elegant, traditional ceremony and minimal, bright decor that highlights the landscape.
