Vintage autumn wedding in a stone-built chapel with a poolside reception in Athens | Vasia & Kostas

A few words about the wedding
Vasia and Kostas chose autumn to say their “I do” in Athens, in a setting that looked like it came from old postcards: a stone-built chapel nestled in greenery, with cypresses and palm trees embracing the space and a slightly cloudy sky—just as suits the most cinematic moments. The style was distinctly vintage, not as a themed choice but as a feeling; that calm elegance that leaves room for emotion to take center stage.

The bride appeared in an off-the-shoulder dress with clean lines, paired with a lace veil that immediately added a retro touch, while her bouquet of white calla lilies kept the look strictly minimal and timeless. The details made the difference: the rings placed on a candle, the sugared almonds in tulle with small tags, the little jars with white roses, baby’s breath and eucalyptus that discreetly adorned both the ceremony and the tables. Even a butterfly that paused for a moment on the candle felt like a small “sign” within the day.

After the ceremony, the celebration moved to an open-air area by the pool, with white tablecloths and bright, clean centerpieces arranged in glass containers, allowing the venue’s architecture and the autumn landscape to breathe. As night fell, the warm string lights created an almost CinemaScope atmosphere, and the party found its own rhythm, with dancing, hugs and spontaneous moments that perfectly matched the style of the day.

ZVS Photography captured Vasia’s and Kostas’ story with sensitivity and strong storytelling, maintaining the balance between clean portraits and authentic snapshots, from the emotion of the ceremony to the energy of the evening celebration. A wedding with vintage inspiration and a white, elegant palette, proving that when choices are simple and meaningful, the result becomes effortlessly unforgettable.
