A few words about the wedding
In the heart of summer, Maria and Michalis chose Chania to say “I do”, with an aesthetic that was classic and clean, filled with light. From the first moments of the preparations, everything felt calm and genuine: small details on the table, the wedding rings, the earrings, the sugared almonds and the favors tied with lace and lavender, as if they held within them a promise for the rest of the day. Maria’s wedding dress, with a lace bodice and a light skirt, suited her style perfectly, while Michalis stood out with the ecru tuxedo and the black details, a timeless choice that gave character to the overall look.
The ceremony had the warmth that weddings in Crete are known for: people close to the couple, emotion without excess, and that joyful anticipation of the recessional. At the entrance, the décor moved in white and green, with lush eucalyptus foliage and white roses bringing freshness, while the wooden, “weathered” details and the lanterns added an air of effortless elegance. Among the images, the groom’s bouquet in the same palette also stands out, beautifully linking the style of the ceremony with what followed in the celebration.
And when the day began to wane, the sea became the most fitting backdrop for a few breaths just for the two of them. The sunset photos, on the rocks and on the sand, have that golden light that makes Chania look almost cinematic, while Maria’s veil flowing in the air added movement and emotion to the frames. The evening continued with dancing and hugs, with the energy rising naturally as the hours went by, as if the whole day had been built to end in this carefree moment.
