Traditional summer wedding in a cave chapel in Chania, Crete | Peggy & Konstantinos
A few words about the wedding
In Chania, on a warm summer day, Peggy and Konstantinos united their lives with a deeply traditional wedding, full of emotion and small, genuine moments that blended beautifully together. From the preparations, the day had a sweet intimacy: hugs, looks that said more than words, friends coming and going with smiles, and that calm intensity just before everything began.

The setting was special in itself: a chapel inside a cave, with the stone embracing the sacrament and creating an atmosphere almost cinematic. The décor moved in natural tones with details of linen fabrics, lace and cinnamon in the wedding favors, while the white lanterns with candles and the handmade welcome signs gave that earthy, Cretan feel that suited the place perfectly. The bridal bouquet, with orchids and roses in soft pink along with eucalyptus, paired wonderfully with Peggy’s white dress and highlighted the romantic side of tradition without excess.

The ceremony unfolded with emotion, and when the couple came out of the cave, the rice fell like summer rain over their smiles, with the guests following them into the light and the open courtyard. There, the wishes continued more casually, with glasses being filled, conversations under the trees and a sense of hospitality that only Crete knows how to offer so naturally.

And as the evening went on, the celebration found its rhythm: their first dance was tender and unpretentious, like an extension of what they had already said with their eyes during the ceremony. The photographic eye of Patsiotis Photography delicately captured the transition from emotion to joy, from the stone’s shadow to the warm, late-afternoon colors of the Cretan countryside, keeping within every frame the genuine energy of Peggy and Konstantinos.
